BROADWAY AT THE BEACH (Day 7 - part 1)

In the morning, we went to Lightkeeper's Village, a private community in Little River. At the edge of the community stands the Governor’s Lighthouse, commissioned in 1984 by Governor Richard Riley to honor all of South Carolina governors. This is just an honorary monument, however, not a real lighthouse built by a government agency, and as such, it can not be used as a navigational aid for ships.

A little... and the big version!

We then went to another large shopping center known as Broadway at the Beach. This 350-acre complex has over 100 restaurants, specialty shops, hotels and attractions, all surrounding the 23-acre Lake Broadway. It's divided into several distinct zones such as the New England Fishing Village, Caribbean Village, Charleston Boardwalk and more.

... who were constantly begging!

The Savannah Bee Company was founded by a beekeeper from Georgia in 2002. While they sell honey, their focus is on helping bees. The company supports some 100,000 bee hives around the world.

We did an absolutely delicious tasting! It was amazing how different the texture, color and taste of each one was!

The Hangout restaurant, store and gathering place opened in 2020. They had an enormous collection of old Pez dispensers displayed on a main wall.

Hang loose!
